Free 2 Day Training

         We offer a free 2 day training session at our corporate office with the purchase of the PLUS 2007 software. Our comprehensive training program includes:

• A review of important industry practices and how it impacts the estimating process (tailored to the individual)

• How to read blue prints with a digitizer

• Producing effective floor plan layouts; involving various floor finishes, fills & waste and seaming diagrams.

• Being introduced on how to use popular features such as completing borders, irregular rooms, multiple product scenarios, elevations, etc.

• Learning the various styles of take-off inherent in our software application. We introduce you to variety of floor covering take off methods common to the floor covering industry.

• Education on other time saving devices that will improve your estimates, such as synchronizing the software with DISTO laser meters.

Customized Training and Consultation

Have you hired an individual who is new to the flooring industry? Or have an employee who is struggling to grasp important estimating procedures? We offer customized training solutions to help any individual who is willing to learn new trade secrets and important estimating techniques. You can select any of the following training topics for your program:

• Review & Interpretation of Project Specifications Manual – During this session the estimator receives instruction on important industry practices. Emphasis is placed on learning how to pay attention to details that can affect styles and quantities of materials, as well as labor considerations. After taking this course applicants will understand what is applicable to their specific trade section and how it gets impacted by others.

• Blue Print Reading and Understanding Floor Layouts – We show the estimator how to apply recognized industry standards in their take-offs. Applicants will learn how installation techniques impact a take-off and the special considerations involved with varying dimensions and floor plans with intricate layouts.

•  Knowledge Based Estimating Applications and Procedures – Applicants get the opportunity to learn how to generate reports, including product cut maps, product quantity reports, total “base” bid and “alternate” price summaries. These topics are geared towards generating a higher return on investment for the user.

•  Improving Overall Take Off Ability - The session begins with an assessment of how the estimator currently performs a take-off. From this the instructor will have detected areas where the applicant is weak in regards to accuracy and overall comprehension of floor covering estimation. The applicant will work through exercises that will target the problems areas and help build their own confidence in the process. Any blue prints or drawings that hold particular interest to the client may also be brought to and worked on during this session.
